PRESENT SIMPLE

Present Simple : We use the simple present to talk about habits and work routines.


  Mr. Iskandar Alamsyah wakes  up at 7 a.m. Hegoes to the gym and spends an hours there. He has  breakfast and than walkes. To the office by motorcycle. He takes  Midday prayer at the break time, and He has Padang Rice and a glass of juice for lunch after prayer.


 He works  until 3 p.m. in school and leaves the office at 4 p.m. On his way hame from the office, he often stops  to buy something to bring hom. At weekens He goes swimming with his family.

Now I will share with you about my daily activities!!

Febriana's working day
I am a student of 11th SMKN JAKARTA. Every year I take report results from learning for 6 months.
When I was home at Budi Mulia, Jakarta. I wake up at 05.00 a.m. on school days and at 6:30 a.m. on holidays. My father works as a Government Employees and my mother is a housewife.
In the morning I do breakfast at 5:30 a.m. And go to school to 11 Jakarta Vocational High School at 06.00 a.m.
I arrived at 6:10 a.m. At school I met with teachers and many friends. We study together in class X AKL 1.
I left school at 4:15 p.m. after arriving home, I immediately took a bath and prepared for Ashar prayer. After that I took a break while watching drama. Then go to bed at 11:00 p.m. I wake up and do everything again.
On weekends I always do homework, help with homework, watching video music, and listening to music.

FORMING SIMPLE FUTURE PASSIVE

Forming Simple Future Passive

Affirmative Form	Object + will + be + verb3 (past participle)
Question Form	Will + object + be + verb3 (past participle)

Quick Exercise

Something be done by someone in the future.

Active : We will take the horses to the stable.
Passive: The horses will be taken to the stable.

Active : Will the manager sign the contract tomorrow.
Passive: Will the contract be signed by the manager tomorrow.

Active : Will the boss give me a job?
Passive: Will I be given a job by the boss? 

Put the following sentences into passive voice. (will future passive)

1. Will he pick up the kids tomorrow?

2. The next earthquake will destroy the city.

3. Jane will buy a new computer.

4. Millions of people will visit the museum.

5. Will the company employ a new worker?

Forming Passives With Modals

Affirmative Form	Object + may, must, can, could, ought to, should + be + verb3
Question Form	Must, may, can, should, might + object + be + verb3 (past participle)

Something must / can / should... be done by someone at sometime.

Active    : Our English teacher may give an exam today.
Passive : An exam may be given by our English teacher today.

Active    : Thomas has written many books.
Passive : Many books have been written by Thomas.

Active    : Do you have to pay the bill before leaving the restaurant?
Passive : the bill have to be paid before leaving the restaurant?

Active      : Juan can give them some information about the job.
Passive   : Some information can be given about the job by Juan.
Passive2 : They can be given some information about the JOB by Juan.

Active    : You must obey the traffic rules.
Passive : The traffic rules must be obeyed.

Quick Exercise

Put the following sentences into passive voice. (Modals)

1.    We may ask him a few questions.

2.    I can manage a motor car.

3.    You must inquire the way.

4.    He might give you a chance.

5.    I could show you his house if you would permit me.

   She is training all managers in this company.

Passive : All managers are trained in this company by her.

    Poor people are not attending this big party.

Passive : This big party is not ettended by poor people.

   Teens are always playing the smartphones.

Passive : Smartphones are always played by teens.

    The boss is calling Sue.

Passive : Sue was called by the boss.

     My friends are not building this big mall.

Passive : This big mall are not built by my friends

     He was playing the guitar.

Passive : The guitar is playing by his

   The human resource manager said that he was still processing my documents.

Passive : My document are said to still be processed by the human        

                 resource manager.

     Were they carrying bags?

Passive : Are bags carried by them ?

    Was she reading these lines?

Passive : Is these lines read by her

     Teens are always playing the smartphones.

Passive : Smartphones are always played by teens.
